We advise you not to use the GPS navigator when in the historical centre as the centre of Florence is often subject to changes which may not be up-dated on the navigator.
We therefore advise you to follow carefully the directions set out bellow.

Leaving the autostrada A1 (Highway A1)

From the autostrada A1 coming from the North or South the most convenient exit is Impruneta.
After this you follow the directions for the city center to the roundabout at Porta Romana and then:

  • Go under the gateway and overhead traffic camera and continue down Via Romana until the end
  • Go down Via Maggio towards the Arno River
    (Attention:  DO NOT take the direction of the Pitti Palace which is only for pedestrians)
  • Before crossing Santa Trinità Bridge turn left along the Lungarno Guicciardini and proceed until the next bridge (Carraia Bridge)
  • At the traffic lights turn right and cross the Arno River
  • Once over the bridge continue straight on into Piazza Carlo Goldoni and take the first right immediately after the newspaper stall into Via del Parione
  • At the end of Via del Parione turn left into Via Tornabuoni
  • Tornabuoni Suites Collection is at number 9 a few meters to your left (There is a large door between the boutiques Prada).

Arriving from any other state or provincial road

  • Follow the directions for the city center and the Station of Santa Maria Novella by way of the “Viali” ring road
  • Once in Viale Spartaco Lavagnini going towards the direction of Piazza della Libertà at the first traffic light turn right into Via Santa Caterina D’Alessandria
  • Follow Via Nazionale until the Station Square
  • Leaving the Station of Santa Maria Novella on your right go straight on into Via Santa Caterina da Siena
  • At the traffic light turn left into Via della Scala passing under the traffic camera
  • Drive down Via della Scala until the Square of Santa Maria Novella
  • Turn right into Via dei Fossi to Carlo Goldoni Square
  • Once in Carlo Goldoni Square, at the roundabout take the fourth exit to the right (Via del Parione) leaving the Arno River behind you
  • Go down Via del Parione until the end and turn left into Via Tornabuoni
  • Tornabuoni Suites Collection is at number 9 a few meters to your left (There is a large door between the boutiques Prada).

The airport is connected to the centre of the city by:

  • Taxi service:
    the taxi stand is outside the Arrival sector. The approximate price is Euro 20/25
  • Shuttle service “Vola in Bus”:
    daily departures from the airport are every 30 minutes from 5.30am to 8.30pm, after which the bus leaves at 9.30pm, 10.30pm, 11.45pm and 1am with arrival in Via Santa Caterina da Siena 17 near Santa Maria Novella Station.
    Departures from the city centre are every 30 minutes as from 5.30am to 8pm and then every 60 minutes from 8pm to 11pm with the last departure at 00.30am.
    The trip takes approximately 30 minutes and the ticket costs Euro 6,00 one way and Euro 10,00 return (a one way ticket may be purchased on the bus without any extra cost, whereas the return ticket must be purchased before boarding the bus).   Once you are at the central station it is easy to get to Tornabuoni Suites Collection on foot or by taxi in a few minutes.
  • Tramway:
    near the airport terminal is the T2 line stop terminal which leads to the city center with a stop at the other terminal in Piazza Unità d’Italia. The duration of the journey is about 20 minutes and the cost of the ticket is € 1.50. Galileo Galilei Airport – Pisa
There are trains from Galileo Galilei Airport Pisa to Santa Maria Novella Station Florence via Pisa Central.


It is possible to reach Tornabuoni Suites Collection on foot that takes 10/15 minutes (only 700 meters from Santa Maria Novella Station) or easily by taxi.


Our Suites are situated inside the limited traffic zone (ZTL) but as our guests you are authorized to travel into the ZTL area until you reach our entrance. On arrival the personnel of the garage with whom we have an arrangement will register the number plate with the city police in order to cancel any possible fines.
The cost of the garage is € 35,00 / € 45,00 a day.
